Desktop Analyst
Title: Desktop Analyst Skills: Desktop Solution Expertise, Group Policy Administration, Desktop deployment design and maintenance of core OS and imaging, 32 and 64 bit, Microsoft Office 2003/2007, IE 6/8, Adobe products etc. Date: 8-25-2010 Description: IT Trailblazers has an immediate requirement for a Desktop Analyst to support a Leading Global System Integrator and business transformation consulting firm located in Bartlesville, OK . This is a 12 plus months contract position. Description: Client is looking for a person who has maybe 4-6 years of experience in supporting end user IT support system. Example: Every big company has an IT person who in turn support the employees in their day to day issues. Example, if a laptop is not working or Microsoft Outlook is not working or some software is not working.. the employee takes the help of this IT person who is sitting in your office .... similarly, the client is looking for someone who will be at their Bartesville, OK location and will be taking calls and issues from their employees GLOBALLY.. and resolve those issues and fix the system, whatever the case maybe. Key Skills 1. Group Policy Administration 2. Desktop deployment design and maintenance of core OS and imaging, 32 and 64 bit 3. Core application support, including Microsoft Office 2003/2007, Internet Explorer 6/8, Adobe products, Windows Media player, Office Communicator, and McAfee Client Security 4. Global logon and startup scripts 5. Global client antivirus and security software 6. Laptop Encryption r III support and escalation point for other technical support teams 8. Testing of ne w packaged applications prior to deployment; post deployment support 9. Knowledge of Active Directory & Domain Environment Additional Skills: 1. Knowledge on Application Compatibility tools, remediation of application functionality problems 2. In depth knowledge of Internet Explorer 6/7/8 3. Excellent knowledge of Office 2003/2007/2010 4. Experience in Packaging application in virtual & physical environment. 5. Windows XP Security settings 6. Development, Configuration of windows desktop Images using tools like SMS/SCCM 7. Knowledge of low level configuration and security of the office applications 8. Knowledge of Access Database, Micro recording, SharePoint & Exchange is an advantage 9. Knowledge of Computer virus remediation, common antivirus applications like Symantec & MacAfee client security applications. Virus removal scripting. 10. Advanced Troubleshooting * strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, wireless 802.x, command line tools 11. Ability to diagnose problems remotely and work directly with clients to quickly resolve. 12. Application Packaging * Developing and testing MSI based packages for corporate distribution via SMS 2003 13.
