EDUCATION: Associate degree or Technical school certification, such as PC/LAN Technician
EXPERIENCE: Minimum 2 -4 years experience in a networked LAN/WAN PC environment
SKILLS: Proficient with Windows 7, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Microsoft Office, E-mail preferably MS Exchange , Internet Browsers, Anti-Virus software, Patch Management and PC troubleshooting. Understanding of a networked TCP/IP computer environment Ability to completely tear-down, repair, re-assemble and install both hardware and software for desktop and laptop PCs An understanding of basic administration, and could serve as a backup for minimal network administration, such as user accounts, directories and security Good written and oral communication skills, including the ability to interface directly with all levels of technical users Ability to work on multiple tasks at one time, along with unexpected computer, printer and server related problems as required. Ability to work in and suit-up for a clean-room environment
RESPONSIBILITIES: Set-up, configure, install, repair and troubleshoot Personal Computers in office, lab and clean room environments. Perform desktop and laptop PC Hardware and Software installations. Software includes Windows 7, Windows XP, Windows Vista, , Microsoft Office, MS Exchange, Internet Browsers Install, troubleshoot and maintain both local and network color/black white printers Upgrade individual hardware and software applications per end users request Provide help-desk and deskside technical support to users Process work orders in a timely and efficient manner; in doing so, have very minimal to no impact on each user or the production environment. Provide feedback to the user on status and completion of work order requests Maintain updated virus protection software on office and lab PCs Support staff in wide variety of PC related issues Performs equipment set-up for new or relocated employees Adhere to all established departmental processes and procedures Respond to off-hour pager requests Ability to frequently lift/move up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift/moveup to 80 pounds
