City / Ville Calgary Province Alberta [AB] Title / Titre Desktop Support Analyst - Jr. System Admin Job ID 11850 Position Overview / Vue d'ensemble du poste Our client has an excellent permanent opportunity for a strong desktop support analyst/junior Systems Administrator with knowledge and experience supporting both desktop and server environments.
This is an excellent role for someone who wants to apply their end user support skills and also develop back end infrastructure admin skills to end users at all levels of an organization.
This role is located downtown. Responsibilities / Responsabilités Responsibilities include:
. desktop support including phone, email and deskside within a smaller client environment. . network / server administration and support in a Windows environment that includes 30 servers and 4 VMware hosts. Requirements / Exigences Skills:
- Post secondary IT related diploma or degree - Minimum 3 - 5 years progressive experience in desktop support and some exposure to back end infrastructure administration and Exchange support - Windows 2003/8 - Network Intrusion, Anti-Virus, Security - Active Directory - TCP/IP - Blackberry Support - BES 4.0 or higher
Other Skills and Experience (Nice to Have):
- Microsoft certifications are nice to have - SAN (Storage Area Networks) nice to have but will also train - VMware nice to have but will also train
Additionally:
- The ability to provide top notch client support as required to users at all levels is critical. - Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills - Strong team player, but independently motivated,
