Position Summary: The Desktop Support Analyst provides effective and efficient use of information systems by functioning as a central point of contact for user needs relating to personal computers, peripherals, software, network and system needs. He/she is responsible for assessing management and user needs, troubleshooting problems, and for making decision and/or recommendations on best solutions. The Desktop Support Analyst III consults with users as a primary liaison between the User Support and Technical Support staff and is responsible for providing guidance in the areas of troubleshooting, decision-making, and prioritization of responsibilities. This position requires broad knowledge and expertise in the areas of personal computers and peripheral devices, network configurations, and related support to system users. Work situations are varied and require user support expertise, organization, prioritization, analysis, problem solving, discretion and good judgment in decision-making, and leadership. Extensive internal contacts are required with both staff and management personnel for the purpose of identifying needs, resolving problems and providing training. External contacts include vendors and outside organizations for the purpose of obtaining information.
Minimum Requirements: 4 years progressively more responsible experience in a customer service type environment involving personal computer sales, service, and installation Specific experience may be substituted for education
Education/Licenses/Certifications: AA in healthcare or computer science certifications (A+ Certification) required Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field preferred Technical School classes (PC related) Additional Information
