Job Description
Smartronix, Inc. is seeking a desktop support IT trainer in support of an oveseas military command in Germany. The IT trainer is responsible to design and deliver training in communications and information technology, including desktop and enterprise applications. This includes developing, maintaining, and delivering IT training to USEUCOM and US Africa Command, as well as facilitating the activities of vendor provided (and other) external training. Tasks include developing and delivering various types of training, to include traditional live instruction, desk-side and group training, Web/Computer based (W/CBT) training, and training materials such as fact sheets/quick reference guides.
Duties of the successful candidate include:
· Research and provide training materials (Computer Based Training, Videotapes, etc.) for entry-level self-paced user training;
· Develop and implement training programs and classes;
· Generate training plans and teaching materials;
· Update classes and training materials (i.e., User Manuals, Quick Reference Guides, overhead display view graphs) as required, based on new systems, software releases, and updates;
· Maintain user help guides, and user manuals;
· Provide formal classroom training;
· Provide office hours for ad hoc training (walk-in support);
· Provide over-the-shoulder training for all senior staff, as requested, and at other users’ requests, where practical;
· Develop and maintain schedules for both classroom and time-with-trainer sessions; and
· Develop and give presentations which demonstrate the key featu
Required Skills
· Excellent communication skills
· Strong background in classroom training, computer-based training and course development
· Experience developing training materials including class room materials, computer-based training, quick reference guides and interactive tools
· Proficiency in maintaining training room computers
