We are currently looking for a Desktop Technician to provide knowledge, guidance, and analysis on all hardware and software in regard to the PCs throughout our business. The role requires active consulting with our business users.
Requirements:
· Applies systems analysis techniques and procedures, including consulting with users, to determine hardware, software, or system functional specifications
- Designs, develops, documents, analyzes, creates, tests, or modifies computer systems or programs, including prototypes, based on and related to user or system design specifications
· Designs, documents, tests, creates, or modifies computer programs related to machine operating systems
· Troubleshoots desktop platforms associated with Windows, Exchange, MS Office, Security, internal applications, and anti viral software used within this environment and performs administrative tasks regarding same
· Provides input related to supporting and establishing direction on the desktop platforms, proposed migration paths, and standard toolsets
· Evaluates and improves the effectiveness of corporate desktop systems through examination of qualitative and quantitative measures
· Manages accurate hardware and software inventory and proposes improvement to existing processes
· Analyzes desktop failure rates, determine cause of failures, and propose solutions and recommend corporate desktop standards and policies
Education/Experience Requirements:
· Minimum of High School diploma
· A+ Certified or equivalent hands on experience
