Travel is required from site to site. Job Description: · Replace client's old desktop/laptop with a new desktop/laptop. · Re-image and reinstall desktop computers/laptops and Mobile devices. · Setup equipment for employee use, performing and ensuring proper installation of cable, operating systems, and appropriate software/hardware. · Replace both power cords and CAT5 network patch cable. · Configure network properties and DNS ensure DNS set to automatic · Join machine to domain · Configure printer(s) if needed · Launch Word or other Office program to ensure proper operation · Look for any irregularities on desktop (e.g., missing shortcuts) · Check display properties for proper configuration. · Follows up on Patch progress as needed. · Label desktops/laptops · Unloads/deploys new equipment to designated areas. · Removes old equipment to loading dock. · Keeps work areas clean and neat, remove trash as needed.
Job Requirements :
· Installation and maintenance of computer hardware and telecommunications devices · Problem solving skills concerning, software, hardware and telecommunications · Inspects Computers, Monitors, Laptops, Printers and Smart devices · Troubleshooting and maintenance of Computers, Monitors, Laptops, Printers and Smart devices · Knowledge and ability to replace damaged parts with new parts. · Ability to take apart a PC and put it back together · Able to name all the parts of a PC · Some knowledge of network system configuration · Working knowledge of new technologies · Knowledge of ESD · A+ Certification Required · Must have a Valid Driver's license
Ability to:
Follow detailed oral and written instructions in the installation/removal and repair of electronic equipment.
Effectively communicate orally and in writing.
Use personal computers or Laptops to monitor inventories, reorder supplies and write reports.
Explain technical information in layman's terms to service users and other personnel to answer questions and provide information about equipment and its operation.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of assignment.
Acquire additional skills to maintain technical competencies.
Read and comprehend technical manuals, troubleshooting guides, manufacturers specifications, used in the installation and repair of electronic equipment.
Provide level-1 and level 2 technical support to our clients. This would include items such as general troubleshooting, assistance with basic operations in the MS-Office Tools, basic Operating System settings, Email Setup, User Password resetting and general connectivity help. Assist users with issues relating to computer hardware, software applications, and printers coordinate imaging and deployment of new computers.
Advanced Troubleshooting knowledge Must be comfortable helping and following up with various clients to help support their needs. Must have a working knowledge of MS-Office software packages, Outlook, XP Desktop, and other various end-user support type items. Special Working Conditions: May be required to stoop, bend, kneel and squat for extended periods of time.
May be required to lift and move items up to 70 pounds. Must have a Valid Driver's license Travel required
