Job Level Summary: Duties: " Gather business reporting requirements from the business analyst or business - Work with Business analysts to design and develop complex Cognos reports. - Create reports technical specifications - Provide input to the design of data models to meet analytical and reporting needs - Desing, develop and Support the Frame work design and Cube Transfomer - Provide Support to project teams in performing data analysis as necessary - Provide user Support in their ad hoc analysis - Provide user training and Create supporting training documentation as necessary" Qualifications: " Requires in depth knowledge of the Cognos architecture and Cognos Metadata Modelling tools (Framework Manager and Transformer) and Report Design - Report design and construction using Report Studio - 5+ years experience designing, developing and supporting Cognos reports and adhoc analysis - 3+ year experience in Frame Work and Transformer Model design and development - Proficiency at preparing Functional / technical specifications, Use Cases, Test Cases and other formal documents to facilitate the development process - Knowledge of diverse business processes preferably in the health industries or large company - Experience in analyzing and documenting business processes and understanding how business Analytics solutions fit into them - Solid SQL skills - Outstanding problem solving and decision making skills. - Excellent communications and presentation skills - Ability to effectively communicate with business and technical teams at all levels - Ability to shift focus, adapting to changing priorities, and maintain patience in high-pressure situations - Experience working in a Cognos enviornment would be a plus - Experience working in a Oracle is must and Teradata environment would be a plus - Knowledge of infrasturcture components such as web tier, app tier and database tier would be a plus - Oracle SQL and PL/SQL skills: strong SQL - must be able to debug"
