The business developer develops, tests, and documents business intelligence solutions which meet internal or external needs. They understand user requirements and functional specifications and can develop software or solutions which meet these needs and specifications. They follow a development methodology and comply with relevant best practices and regulations.
Qualifications/Work Experience
•Experience with key platforms including Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services, Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services, Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services, and SharePoint 2010 is strongly preferred. •Knowledge of development practices such as source control is strongly preferred. •Knowledge of Kimball data warehousing design patterns preferred. •Knowledge of Agile Development methodologies preferred. •Experience in software development •Strong analytical skills •Ability to proactively identify edge cases •Strong written and verbal communication •Demonstrated ability to take a defined problem and develop an algorithmic solution
Education and/or Special Training
-Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or equivalent •Experience with modern computer languages (for example C#, Java, or C ) is required. •Experience with a relational database system and SQL is required. -Experience with a modern development IDE (for example Visual Studio 2010 or Eclipse) is required.
