is seeking only the most talented technologists to join our development candidate will serve as a technology development leader, combining world-class technology planning, tools development, and legacy integration, to establish and manage a newly formed IT Applications team. We are looking for a technical IT Applications Director who has a self-starter orientation and the capability to build our IT Applications team. You will be expected to provide leadership and strategic guidance to the applications services functions. You will also be responsible for the overall planning, execution, and success of the IT Applications team projects. This position will have a profound impact on the future of TheLadders at a defining moment in the evolution of the company. You will be expected to: * Set tactical and strategic direction for the use of technology based systems throughout the organization; systems included are; CRM, Finance, HR and corporate applications * Work with Product and Engineering teams to develop and maintain a comprehensive Enterprise Architecture which serves current and anticipated business needs * Lead a team of developers and business analysts * Work closely with business owners in order to map and support their operational needs * Define and maintain performance and availability SLA’s for the IT application software systems * Formulate and deploy the IT application SDLC execution process * Formulate and evaluate software/process design alternatives and final selection You will be expected to have: * 12+ years managing development teams including 5+ years of direct management * Experience developing solutions or integrating with one or more of the following technologies: MAS500, , RightNow * Strong leadership, technical and architecture skills, as well as the ability to understand business goals and define software solutions to meet those goals * Strong understanding of relational database concepts including SQL, indexes, transactions and experience with a major DB system such as Oracle or SQL, experience with MySql is a plus * BS in Computer Science or related field, Master’s preferred, or equivalent experience * Experience managing development teams using Agile/Scrum/XP methodologies as a plus * Project management certification as a plus * Passion for technology and excellence * Motivation as a self-starter who likes working on very productive teams * Excellent communication skills Also, check out The Ladder’sProduct/Tech/UXBlog!
