The IT Director, Endoscopy is an influential role in the global IT organization and serves as the business IT leader (BITL) for Stryker's Endoscopy division. This individual creates a high-impact strategic partnership with the division leadership to align global IT goals and Endoscopy's business goals.

Responsibilities include:
• Leading through influence in the business -become a trusted advisor to business leaders on leveraging process and technology to accelerate business goals and how to choose projects with the biggest impact
• Leading through influence in global IT - advocating for division projects and initiatives, marshaling resources to meet division needs, and serving as an escalation point for IT services to ensure satisfaction of end users; key contacts include global IT PMO and quality teams, global solutions teams, global infrastructure support teams, and regional service and support team
• Communicate and influence to ensure alignment between division business goals, global IT goals, and company-wide goals as well as transparency and understanding of IT costs, benefits, strategy, policies and service levels • Develop project business requests and project charters, help ensure all project proposals follow correct project prioritization and architecture process • Review and approve IT project requests including capital expenditure requests when appropriate
• Serve as site IT leader for your division, monitoring and managing local employee engagement in collaboration with IT line management • Manage and develop business unit IT directors and managers as appropriate

Key accomplishments (90 days): Initiate key relationships with division leaders and global IT leaders
• Establish division ""Technology Action Plan"" in partnership with division leaders and global solutions team • Assess ongoing projects and support
• Attend annual IT leadership meeting and participate in IT director training

Key accomplishments (12 months): • Establish strong relationships with division and global IT leadership
• Improvement of customer engagement scores on IT customer survey
• Successful track record of ongoing support and project delivery
• Stable or improved architectural footprint for division
• Aligned Technology Action Plan with division business plans, global IT roadmap, and company-wide initiatives

Qualifications/Work Experience

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years prior work experience with at least 2 years participation in IT projects and strategy. Prior management experience is strongly preferred.

Education and/or Special Training

Bachelor's degree required. MBA is a plus.
Strong relationship skills, ability to build trust and lead through influence
Strong communication skills - written and verbal
