Job Description:
The Defense Logistics Agency is in the process of defining a Disaster Recovery Facility for HQ and satellite site applications. In addition, an IT Enterprise Management Services facility is being defined in the same environment. Requirements definition, facility design, and planning and implementation are the cornerstone skills required of this effort. A DoD background is highly desired.
Roles & Responsibilities:
IT Infrastructure Operations: Disaster Recovery - Application / Technology Specialist Work with open-systems application and infrastructure teams to coordinate disaster recovery (DR) tests on UNIX and Windows server environments. This includes: Identify and engage ITO teams in DR and business continuity (BC) planning functions. Provide awareness of BC and DR to teams. Steer IT teams in DR testing using resources hosted in the Dearborn datacenters. Coordinate equipment and resource requirements for DR tests. Facilitate the failover and failback testing of high-end infrastructure and applications. Also, participate in any planned data center failover testing events. Help report metrics on BC/DR compliancy to ITO management. Assist in driving Business Continuity concepts across IT.
Required Skills:
? Deep expertise and experience with Disaster Recovery and COOP standup and support ? Requirements Definition ? DoD Architecture and procedures ? Logistics Expertise ? IT Architecture Expertise ? Enterprise Services Definition ? Experience with data-center specific components (Unix and/or Windows servers, storage, networking) and overall architecture. ? Working knowledge of Client/Server environments ? Excellent Oral and Written Communication Skills
Preferred Experience:
? Strong preference for ITIL certifications ? CAC
