The documentation and training specialist writes or edits technical reports, brochures, and/or manuals for internal documentation, customer reference or publication.
Researches, writes, and compiles reference material using complex desktop publishing or word processing packages.
Analyzes technical literature available, writes descriptive copy, and verifies documentation with related departments.
Ensures order, clarity, consistency, style, and terminology are in accordance with set standards.
Determines the use of graphics, visual aids, tables, and photographs to support the written text.
Evaluates the reading audience for conceptual demands.
Will be responsible for checking the accuracy of user manuals using expertise in grammar and spelling.
Develops methods for accurate and effective generation of user manuals.

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university plus at least four years of experience; or at least six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
