Systems Administrator
Within 90 Days: Understand the contract management application hosted by 3rd party vendor, Emptoris, by shadowing project team, performing hands-on project work, training, and system documentation. Learn Stryker's Project Management Methodology and associated deliverables, and be a member of the project team associated with application.
Description:
• The Systems Administrator will initially focus on the ACE (Emptoris) Application, Stryker's Enterprise Contract Management System hosted by Emptoris. This role will be responsible for: • Configuring contracts within the ACE application leveraging Microsoft Word and the component of ACE • Maintaining user access and security within the ACE application • Collaborating with Legal/IT resources to continually improve the application and its user adoption, including related training and demonstrations. • Participate in the ongoing company-wide deployment of the ACE (Emptoris) Application Implementation Project • Provide ongoing internal customer and technical production support for ACE, Stryker's Contract Management system. • Participate in the technical design sessions and demonstrations of the ACE application • Participate in activities surrounding template entry/configuration, execution of test scripts, training, and implementation of project • Participate in project meetings and project communications as part of the existing implementation • Work with software vendors, software developers, and other IT partners • Participate in the requirements gathering phase for ongoing releases as necessary • Adhere to Stryker Enterprise IT's defined project and portfolio methodology
Qualifications/Work Experience
• 4 years technical experience in IT. Provide application, project and internal customer support for hosted application. Design, configure and maintain templates using Microsoft Office Design tools. Familiarity and understanding of web based system technologies and architectures such as: • SQL • Unix/NT • Web Services. • Java • Knowledge of LDAP • Master Data • Metadata • Microsoft Office Suite
• Bachelor's degree is preferred. • 4 years technical experience in IT. • Familiarity and understanding of development (preferably web based system technologies and architectures), data management and security, software implementations, application configuration, and projects. • Strong analytical, problem, organizational, time-management, and follow through skills • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Strong client/business relationship management skills • Self-motivated, disciplined, and able to work independently • Demonstrated ability to effectively support internal customers remotely (phone, email, etc.) and across countries/cultures
