EDI Project Manager
Our client, a leading computer hardware manufacturer, is seeking an EDI Project Manager for a 6-month project in Irvine, CA. The EDI Project Manager's primary focus is to manage and deliver EDI system implementations. The Project Manager will work with the EDI Electronic Data Interchange Operations team, and manage relationships with clients and staff in the sales, operations, logistics, and Finance organizations. Responsibilities include:
Manage delivery of EDI solutions that meet the internal/external customer/partner requirements and quality assurance standards
Manage resource allocation, track progress on daily/weekly/monthly basis
Manage implementation tasks and activities for all EDI projects Identify processes and conflict processes to create deliverables
Develop project milestone reviews
Manage project scheduling, cost control and changes
Assist the technical team with creation of business requirements and development tasks
Assist business and IT teams with creation of test plans, testing efforts and production migration plans
Lead and facilitate customer/partner project kick off sessions to review assumptions and customer expectations
Gather project requirements, coordinate all related activities with customers/partners regarding development, system testing, UAT, production roll-out and post production support
Conduct regularly scheduled meetings with stakeholders
Lead and coordinate business requirements and design analysis sessions to ensure the development approach is designed and developed within client's guidelines and standards
Qualifications:
Experience running medium to large EDI projects
Extensive Customer/partner facing experience
Experience managing project delivery using the Systems Development Life Cycle SDLC
Dynamic Problem Solver with customer focus
Over 7 years of EDI Project/Program Management Experience
Experience with EDI systems, and interfaces - AS2/XML interfaces, standard X12 mapping, RosettaNET, EDIF
Experience in process/data mapping and business process analysis
Experience in MS Project Project Task planning dependencies, VISIO, MS Office
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Bachelor s degree preferred Computer Science
