Network Systems Administrator supports 24/7 On-Site Coverage at CBP National Data Center. On-Site Coverage is designed to supply Level I / II support for Production Operations for multiple critical CBP systems including servers, storage and applications. The successful applicant will possess experience in real-time monitoring, diagnosis and trouble-shooting of incidents and events in the CBP Production environment. Applicants will also posses experience in identifying specific cause for events and for executing proper resource coordination and event notification escalation procedures. Relevant Skills include: . Network Administration - generalist experienced with CISCO, F5 and other enterprise switches Familiarity with CISCO iOS Administration Familiarity with IP networking and Firewalls Familiarity with Network Security Familiarity with Routing and Switching Tables . Preference will be given to those candidates with the specific skills mentioned above and with any prior experience within CBP Data Center, including Program Offices, ACE Modernization, TOC experience, Operations Support, Job Scheduling, AutoOps monitoring.

Consultants hired into GBS Public Sector will typically be located in an IBM office or at an IBM client site primarily in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. In many cases, relocation to the Washington, DC area is required & is not reimbursable. However, we do have opportunities that require residence in other strategic locations in the USA . While most projects are in the DC metro area, Consultants must be able to travel to projects that are in the DC Metro area and to those projects located outside the local area. Some projects do require up to 100% travel for an extended period of time that is generally < 1 year.

Required

* High School Diploma/GED
* At least 2 years experience in with CISCO, F5 and other enterprise switches
* U.S. citizenship required
* English: Fluent

Preferred

* Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology
* At least 2 years experience in with CISCO iOS Administration
* At least 1 year experience in IP networking and Firewalls
* At least 1 year experience in Network Security
* At least 1 year experience in Routing and Switching Tables
* Certified in CISSP, CCNP and/or CCNA
