Title: EDS-Java Senior Software Developer Location: China- PuDong Position Overview:
HP GDCC is looking for a highly experienced and motivated Senior System Designer to implement its offshore application development project in China. In this position, you'll make decisions about design and feature implementation, using your technical skills to create end-to-end business applications based on customer requirements and turn the product vision into reality. You will be working very closely with system architect and business analyst teams to deliver high quality project on time, and collaborate with other onshore and offshore teams.
This position is also responsible for ensuring the offshore application development project is meeting deadlines, having regular meetings with project members.
Responsibilities: * Responsible for system design and development of complex web applications leveraging current and emerging technologies. · Analyze and design of high level system components, solve major technical problems. * Develop and enforce coding practices designed to promote code reusability and quality. · Technical mentoring and training for development and testing teams. * Provide technical leadership and coordinate development deliverables across onshore and offshore. * Prepare high level design documentation and participate in design, code reviews and POI reviews. * Analyze and troubleshoot existing processes and optimize code in order to improve performance whenever required. * Develop and enforce coding practices designed to promote code reusability. * Assist in defining and updating the team standards to improve the development process and quality of deliverables. * Ensure systems are designed and developed in compliance with corporate security and privacy policies. * Work closely with onshore and offshore Project Manager/Project Lead, Delivery Manager, System Architect, Test Manager and Product Supporter, and drive offshore design/development to completion. * B.A. / B.S. in information systems and/or software engineering / computer science or related field and 5 years' related experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. * Minimum 2 years experience designing and developing large distributed enterprise systems including demonstrated experience with Java, Web Service, SOA and UDDI. * Experience with any of these software technologies is a big plus: WebSphere, WebLogic, Tomcat, JBoss and BI, Rational Rose or Together. · Proficiency of web application development, familiar with JSP/Servlet, EJB, JNDI, JDBC, JMS, JAAS. · Proficiency of such Java frameworks as Spring, Struts, Hibernate or IBatis. · Proficiency of such large relational databases as Oracle, mySQL, SQL Server2005/2008. · Proficiency of OOA/OOD, familiar with UML, SOA and XML. * Comprehensive understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) process development and product deployment across an enterprise. * Ability to anticipate and effectively deal with problems and roadblocks. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. · Good communication skills, team-working spirit and leadership.
