Electrical and Electronic System Manager
We have a terrific opportunity with a top international company with a modern and clean facility in
Pennsylvania. The company Technology function manages a worldwide construction equipment
technology organization with over 1500 engineers, designers and other colleagues.
The company’s Electrical and Electronic System technology platform is developing electrical and
electronic systems for all mobile construction machines. It is a fast growing technology area that is
globally organized into 11 different departments in 7 locations in 6 countries. The Manager of
Electrical and Electronic System will lead the E&E department to provide the larger organization a
clear interface and better support dedicated product platforms. This department is developing
complete electrical and electronic systems for 4 different company products, and supports other
machines systems with technical competence in company systems.
Job Summary:
• Manages the company Electrical and Electronic organization at large facility in Pennsylvania,
• Delivers complete E&E systems for selected Road & Utility products,
• Sets up the development environment and drive the support from the IT organization,
• Plans and executes of decided assignments,
• Works with Road & Utility Electrical & Electronic System Manager and Operational Excellence
manager,
• Develops and drives new processes and synergies needed for successful work on the site,
• Owns and manages the competencies and resources for activities within department,
• Coordinates Resource ramp-up and training,
• Supports the accomplishment of strategic projects, tactical projects, product maintenance and
advanced engineering.
Main Tasks/ Responsibilities / Authorities:
• E&E System Owner of dedicated product
• Detailed planning and execution to set up E&E system development team
• Drives E&E requirements on the dedicated products (End to End)
• Drives breakdown and analysis of requirements from PP
• Drives electrical system design and development for dedicated products
• Drives system engineering activities for E&E System development
• Drives integration of all subsystems into the E&E System for the dedicated product
• Drives delivery of complete E&E System to the machine projects
• Keeps budget frames
• Reports to Road & Utility E&E System Manager
• Executes E&E Strategy
Requirements:
Qualifications
• Degree in engineering or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Research and Development, preferably within Electrical and
Electronics
• Experience abroad
• Management experience preferable
• Ability to lead and inspire a team to meet decided targets
• Ability to create and promote cross-functional networks through cross-site work
• Good communication and presentation skills
• Holistic view ( to be able to see and understand new and upcoming demands)
• Financial skills (i.e. project profitability analyses)
• Driven and results-oriented
• Fluent in speaking and writing in English
Travel
