Our client, with more than 2900 employees, has offices in Washington, D.C.; Northern Virginia; Richmond, VA; Baltimore, Maryland; Atlanta, Georgia; Baton Rouge, LA; Clearwater/Tampa, Florida and in Stuttgart, Germany. Responsibilities: Interpreting blueprints Preparing and installing cable pathways & spaces Identifying appropriate cables from drawings and running cables/fiber per installation design plans Testing continuity of conductor(s) or breaks in fiber Terminating basic connections such as butt splices, insulated connectors, terminal strips/blocks and BNC connectors Mounting and terminating field devices (i.e. Readers, Door Contacts, REXs, Cameras) Assisting Senior Technicians with field verification testing Ensuring all assigned trouble tickets are resolved and documented Adhering to all safety and housekeeping protocols Requirements: A minimum of four (4) years experience in non-residential electronics installation and troubleshooting is required Airline industry electronics or aviation training Experience and/or factory training on MDI, Maxpro, Javelin, Lenel, Software House, Casi Rusco, and other manufacturers systems a plus Experience installing and troubleshooting electronic security, life safety and telecommunications systems is preferred Associates of Science in Electronics from an accredited program is required; or graduation from US Navy or Air Force Electronics Training program with a minimum of 720 class room hours; or graduation from MC Deans Electronic Technician / Electrical apprenticeship program VADCJS (VA Dept of Criminal Justice Services) Electronic Security Technician or NBFAA (Maryland Burglar & Fire Alarm Association) Certified Alarm/Security Technician Level I preferred CET-A (Electronics Technicians Association, Associate Certified Electronics Technician) preferred Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information If you are an excellent problem solver, an effective communicator, results-oriented, and highly customer focused, wed like to hear from you.
