Our client is immediate need of a LATR Engineering Field Technician. LATR Electronics Technician Overview:This position is responsible for the implementation of technical controls for the Navy Large Area Tracking Range (LATR) network in accordance with contract R Electronics Technician *Performs operation, maintenance and installation of RF/Microwave communications, tactical radios and computer information systems. *Assists in system administration duties for the LATR network including the installation, maintain and administration of communication systems and computing environment including voice communications, networking/computer hardware, system and application software. *Applies advanced technical knowledge to perform complex troubleshooting, isolating malfunctions, and incorporates engineering changes. *Performs organizational, intermediate, and depot-level maintenance on communication equipment. *Installs and maintains WAN/LAN systems, Cisco routers, bridges, CSU/DSU units, switches, TCP/IP network services, and T-1 data R Electronics Technician Requirements:*Physically able to deploy aboard US Navy ships and to remote sites for up to three weeks at a time. *Able to perform physical labor to include heavy lifting (70 pounds) and climbing telecommunication towers.*Ability to work some evenings and weekends, sometimes with little notice*Formal classroom education in the field of electronic equipment maintenance equivalent to Navy "C" School or vocational school. *Four years electronic system maintenance in the following areas:***Digital/analog signal processing***Microwave data transmission ***RF spectrum analysis ***Communications System (multiplexer equipment, VHF, UHF, microwave, CSU/DSW) ***Digital/analog computer systems ***DC power supplies; low voltage AC equipment; primary and secondary power equipment; auto-transfer UPS equipment; portable AC generators ***Network Design ***Computer operating systems (including: UNIX, Linux, Windows and Cisco IOS desired) ***Cisco Router/Switch configuration Physical*Must have an Active SECRET ClearanceThis is a full time position starting off as a contract-to-hire opening offering competitive pay and words: navy us navy Digital/analog signal processing Microwave data transmission RF spectrum analysis Communications System (multiplexer equipment, VHF, UHF, microwave, CSU/DSW) Digital/analog computer systems DC power supplies; low voltage AC equipment; primary and secondary power equipment; auto-transfer UPS equipment; portable AC generators network/system administration Network Design Computer operating systems UNIX, Linux, Windows and Cisco IOS desired) Cisco Router/Switch configuration.
