Analog and Digital Recorders (CD, DVR, DVD, Hard drive, flash memory) Specific Job Description This position is in support of the SPAWAR IESS program. The Electronics Technician will work on various types of electronic equipment and related devices. The employee is responsible for maintaining Integrated Electronic Security Systems, which include the following integrated and disparate subsystems: Intrusion Detection, Access Control, Video Surveillance and Recording, Perimeter or Early Warning Detection, and Power and Communication Infrastructure. These tasks will consist of performing a combination of installing, maintaining, repairing, overhauling, troubleshooting equipment and systems. The technician will apply practical knowledge of electronics principles, isolate malfunctions using established program tools and techniques, perform preventive and corrective maintenance on the program equipment identified in the system baseline documentation and return faulty equipment to operating condition. The technician is responsible for documenting maintenance actions, time distribution, and complete qualifications on all site equipment and providing input periodic reports.
The position is contingent upon award the of a SPAWAR IESS Task Order. The position will be in the Tidewater/Hampton Roads area of Virginia and the anticipated award date is March 2012. Some overnight travel may be required.
The technicians must be U.S. citizens and possess a SECRET clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
