The Electronics Technician III will support the Electronic Combat Range (ECR) China Lake, the Navy's principle open-air range for test and evaluation of airborne electronic combat systems.

About This Opportunity:
The Electronics Technician III will perform such tasks as operating, maintaining, repairing, and installing various types of electronic equipment and devices related to all aspects of radar, to include transmitters, receivers servo systems, mixers and switches, amplifiers, and wiring. The Electronics Technician III will also apply technical knowledge of electronics principles to determine equipment malfunctions and apply skills in restoring equipment operations; apply comprehensive technical knowledge to solve complex problems by interpreting manufacturers’ manuals or similar documents. This work requires familiarity with the interrelationships of circuits and judgment in planning work sequence and in selecting tools and testing instruments.
The ideal candidate will have an Associates Degree in electronics or completion of a formal electronics training program in an accredited commercial or military school. The ideal candidate will also have at least six years of experience operating and maintaining electronic equipment.
The Electronics Technician III position requires:
• Working knowledge of electronic test equipment used for preventive and remedial maintenance, i.e., oscilloscopes, vector scopes, volt-ohm meters, frequency counters and generators, logic analyzers/ emulators and waveform monitors. • Knowledge of fabrication and assembly techniques for mechanical and electrical assemblies. • Additional requirements for this position include: the ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships with other team members and those contacted while performing required duties; ability to communicate verbally and in writing; ability to operate computers to input and retrieve data accurately; ability to read, write and understand English; and, the ability to lift up to 70 lbs. • Ability to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance. • A valid California driver's license.
