Kelly IT Resources is currently recruiting for Embedded Software Engineers in the greater Hillsboro, OR area.
Project Description: Develop complete application environment using VMM live migration techniques to transfer complete OS and state from one device to another.
Daily Responsibilities: In this position, you will be working with members of the platform architecture team in developing working proof-of-concept, performing benchmark analysis and writing architecture specifications. This specification encompasses components, hardware platform, system software, OS and application software. Other responsibilities would include generating and assimilating data to perform Platform Level Tradeoffs such as power, performance, battery life, cost, and size to set the architecture for the platform. There will be multiple software projects ranging from application, frameworks and low-level driver projects.
Necessary Skills:
A minimum of 5 years software experience is required. Development of real-time embedded software and device drivers Experience with Linux/BSD embedded systems with limited ROM and RAM memory. Strong C programming and debugging skills required (3+ years) Experience with boot loaders and Linux/BSD system startup required. Strong understanding of X86 architecture Experience with board and RTOS kernel bring-up is a strong plus. Experience with debugging tools such as logic analyzers and gdb is a plus. Good understanding of PC and/or Mobile Device architectures and internals Understanding of software development on Android
Education: BS/MS degree in CS/Computer Engineering
