I. BASIC FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB: To perform professional technical work which requires diversified application of engineering principles, theories, concepts, precedents and techniques applied to specified problems dealing with the detailed design, development and implementation of test strategies and test techniques which are included within Test Program Set (TPS) and Test equipment designs and are used to support the integration and acceptance testing of electronic assemblies and subassemblies and systems of varying technologies. II. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (Duties and responsibilities which occupy a major portion of time and importance in the job. Incumbent(s) perform one or more of the following duties.) 1. Performs professional technical analysis, engineering design, test related assignments where analysis, evaluation and design leads to the selection and application of state-of-the-art test design principles, theories and techniques for complex subassemblies, assemblies or functional systems in support of system and top level assembly acceptance testing and integration for company products requiring the full use and wide application of established engineering principles, theories, concepts and precedents in the field plus a working knowledge of other related disciplines. 2. Consults with engineering specialist to devise new techniques and approaches and provides solutions to a wide range of technical problems dealing with the selection, design and implementation of test strategies in support of: assembly and system level Built-In-Test, acceptance and performance test methodologies, field and factory test requirements. Makes independent decisions based on available data, selection of materials and required parameters. 3. Coordinates the preparation of charts, diagrams and reports expressing recommendations, technical accomplishments and project progress measured against specific plans.
Required Skills:Bachelors Degree 4+ year(s) related experience NOTE: When a degree is required, one in the subject closest to the field of work is preferredPreferred Skills:Ability to T/S complex assemblies at CCA level and next higher assembly testing, Boundary Scan, Module programming. Work with Engineering Design Centers to improve test coverage, t/s design issues with product and test equipment.
