Job Description: Seeks a Software/QA Engineer to design and develop tools that automate the testing of the functionality of Cisco's HCS Reference Architecture, validating quality and stability from a solution perspective that emulates customer environments. With responsibility for ensuring that Cisco maintains its reputation as a producer of high-quality software, the candidate will have direct impact on the company's bottom line. The ideal candidate possesses broad knowledge of many different technologies, as well as a total system perspective and a working knowledge of how networking devices interoperate in a Service Provider environment.
Responsible to build, script, operate, and maintain an Automated Regression Test Infrastructure for validating both HCS on-going and Sustenance Releases. The solution under test spans the products of many Cisco business units including Call Manager (IP PBX), Unity Connection(Voicemail), UCCE (Call Center applications), voice gateways, Provisioning Systems (CUCDM), LANs and WANs, etc. Test bed tasks include implementing topologies for efficient automation, upgrades, integrating new components, and maintenance.
Automation tasks include using endpoint simulators and TCL scripting to automate complex call-flows to provide regression coverage for functionality and load test cases. Additionally, the job requires collaboration with other BUs involved in HCS automation and leveraging existing scripts to build an end-to-end solution test automation suites.
Must Have Skill-Sets
- VoIP ( Should have worked with various protocols SIP, MGCP, H323, Call Processing agents)
- QA/Testing
- Preferably experienced in Cisco UC Portfolio (CUCM, Unity Connection, CUP)
- Coding and Scripting hands on experience with Java, TCL, Perl
- Hands on experience working with Test Frameworks, APIs
- Knowledge on performing System Test/Automation on end to end solutions.
- Good Communication skills
Desirable skill sets
- Voice Domain expertise
- Experience in testing in a Service Provider environment
- Cisco certifications in the Voice Domains
- Advanced scripting and debugging skills
- Knowledge of shell scripting and other automation tools (Selenium, GUI automation etc.)
- Hands on experience on Linux
- Prior knowledge in creating automation test frameworks
Requires BE/CS combined with 6-10 years of related experience
