Engineer Systems 4
The Systems Engineer is responsible for developing, documenting, verifying and validating missile system and subsystem requirements to develop, upgrade and sustain the system. Performs system analysis, requirements analysis, functional analysis and allocation, timeline analysis, interface definition, effectiveness analysis, trade studies and requirements verification and validation to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Also ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
Basic Qualifications: • 9 years experience with Bachelors of Science in engineering; 7 years with Masters of Science in engineering
• Expertise in systems engineering, requirements, and product development processes and application to complex weapon systems.
• Experience in complex weapon system requirements development or validation and verification.
• Missile engineering background
• 4 years with PhD in engineering
• Must be able to travel
• DOD Secret security clearance
Preferred Qualifications: • 10 years of missile defense or large missile systems engineering experience
• DOORS knowledge
• GMD or other missile defense experience
• Masters Degree
