The Engineering Technician I executes complex electrical, mechanical and environmental tests under detailed engineering direction and provides technical support to various groups. Responsibilities include involvement in engineering prototype development, sustaining engineering functions, and various product support functions. Self motivation and attention to details are critical aspects of this role. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Prepare and calibrate RF test setups including network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, power meters and others as assigned * Run various environmental and electrical tests following Anaren procedures * Aid in the testing and analysis of internal structure of Anaren parts * Aid the electrical and mechanical analysis of non compliant components * Support engineering development as assigned with a focus on lab activities * Build/Solder test fixtures and engineering assemblies as assigned * Aid in writing and maintenance of documentation for assigned products. * Comply with and support all department and corporate policies and procedures, included but not limited to safety, security, ESD and OSHA guidelines. JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: * Basic knowledge of RF and electronics concepts * Experience with network and spectrum analyzers, power meters. * Must have strong computer skills (word processing and spreadsheet programs). * Good verbal and writing skills. Required Experience
