Enterprise Applications Architect
Overview:
The Enterprise Architect (EA) will lead the creation of flexible application architecture for the Enterprise including Event Driven Architecture (EDA), Mobility and Internet technologies (associate facing). The EA will mentor other Enterprise Architects as well as Solution Architects on EDA principals, conceptual and logical models. The EA will also be responsible for the following: influences the enterprise on change needed to support both existing and new technologies from design, documentation, testing and implementation; provides technical consulting on complex strategic initiatives in one or more phases of application development; synthesizes information from internal business verticals and incorporates the information into strategies on simplifying the systems at an enterprise level; stays abreast of current technology trends and standards and applies them appropriately within MST.

Key Accountabilities:
Determines and advises on the application architecture for the enterprise.
Develops enterprise models at the conceptual and contextual level for applications and their infrastructure.
Develops application and business models at the business area level.
Acts as an advocate across the enterprise for architectural standards and for the use of standard methodologies and processes in all areas of the Software Development Life Cycle.
Provides technical consulting on complex strategic initiatives in one or more phases of application development.
Drives creation and adoption of enterprise application models, focusing on streamlined enterprise process improvements.
Leads creation of conceptual models for the enterprise, including application and data
Leads creation of logical application models for specific business areas
Works with Business Unit teams throughout their projects to advise on data and application architecture
Provides technical consulting to business units and project teams as needed
Keeps pace with current technology trends and incorporates that knowledge appropriately
Conducts technology, process and skill set reviews and audits
Skill Summary:
15 years professional application development with focus on enterprise architecture
7 years professional application modeling experience, proven application architectural strategies and implementation
specializing in Event Driven Architecture utilizing the TIBCO Suite of products
7 years in the Internet facing consumer space utilizing the IBM WebSphere suite of products
5 years of experience with Mobility technology
Experience communicating the importance of data and application architectures effectively at all levels of an enterprise
Formal education in application development
