We are looking for an Enterprise SharePoint Architect to help the company transition from other systems to SharePoint 2010 as the enterprise standard for sharing knowledge, finding people, and a place for teams to collaborate together.
The role requires both broad and deep technology knowledge and the ability to architect SharePoint 2010 solutions by mapping business problems to end-to-end technology solutions. Demonstrated ability to engage in senior level technology decision maker discussions is also a must. Proven ability to design and successfully implement SharePoint solutions to solve customer business problems.
Requirements and background desired:
Must have data migration and transformation from MOSS 2007 to SP 2010
5 years experience setup and configuration of SharePoint Server & Services (New Build)
3 years experience with implementation and enforcement of governance and information architecture around SP2010
Must demonstrate Understanding scalability and Enterprise system management (care and feeding of the environment)
3 years Enterprise Search functionalities
Customizing and Branding Sites through SharePoint Designer and SharePoint Object Model
Must have a solid understanding of the Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2010 (MOSS) product and also the Windows SharePoint Services technology platform.
The ideal candidate will also have experience in standardizing SharePoint environments as well as deploying and evangelizing them.
Experience leading large group meetings/information gathering sessions with senior-level executives and excellent written and oral communication skills.
Strong understanding of Microsoft Information Worker infrastructure and architecture. Understanding of related products such as Project server, Forms server, InfoPath etc would be plus.
Responsibilities:
Lead and facilitate information gathering sessions to validate business cases, gather and document business and functional objectives.
Implement strategy for intranet/extranet governance.
Work closely with InfoSec on data security and access.
Trains our Network Employees on solutions, and functionality to promote self-service approach to using SharePoint functionality.
Foster internal customer relationships by communicating SharePoint architecture standards and frameworks; answering questions; resolving concerns and issues.
Increase organization effectiveness by identifying opportunities to leverage solutions throughout
Manage in enhancement projects, support and extranet requests
Manage planning delivery of solutions; answer technical and procedural questions for less-experienced team members; teach improved processes; mentor team members.
Improve information usefulness by tracking emerging technologies; evaluating their applicability to business goals and operational requirements.
