Job Description
Dell Services is looking for highly skilled engineers to provide outstanding service to customers in the Atlanta area. The individual must possess advanced knowledge in the network design, installation, integration, operation, and administration of various hardware devices including Cisco routers (Cisco 6500 experience required), switches, and network-interconnection devices. They must possess advanced expertise in secure and high-performance Wide-Area-Networking. Duties require knowledge and background experience in large enterprise networks, supporting data, voice, and video. The person we are looking for must have excellent troubleshooting skills using various tools to identify and remediate network issues. The emphasis for this position will be focused on implementation of Quality of Service function for this large enterprise with a very diverse and far reaching network.
Required Skills
.8+ years' overall experience as an IT professional with minimum of 4 years as a Senior Network Engineer in an enterprise Data Center.
.8+ years' experience working with Cisco enterprise class switches and routers including (6500's, 4500's) and F5 load balancers (F5: 1600 and 8900, L4-L7 Application load balancing)
.6+ years' experience with EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, RIP routing protocols, spanning tree, multicast, QOS, MPLS and security protocols.
.6+ years' experience with security best practices and implementing firewalls and perimeter security measures
.6+ years' experience with network monitoring tools such as Cisco Works, NetQOS, and other similar SNMP monitoring platforms
.Proficiency in MLPS including QOS, MPLS VPN, WLAN, and Voice/Network convergence technologies.
.Advanced experience with network optimization using QOS and traffic engineering techniques
.4+ years' experience analyzing and developing LAN/WAN network designs
.Skills needed to work effectively in a team environment, promote customer service and handle complex technical issues.
Cisco certification: CCIE, CCDA, or CCDP
Desired Skills
.Data Acceleration and WAN optimization experience with solutions like those from Riverbed
.Strong team skills and ability to work in a fast paced environment with minimal supervision.
.Sound judgment, problem-solving, and decision making abilities.
.Demonstrated ability to follow through on assigned tasks under tight deadlines.
.Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communications skills (oral and written).
