Epic - HIM Analyst - Perm - Sacramento, CA
The Health Information Management (HIM) Department is comprised of 7 different units with staffing of approximately one hundred and seventy four full time employees whose primary purpose is to serve the interest of the individual patient by facilitating medical care, treatment, research and teaching through availability of a well-documented, current medical records and clinical databases. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE: • Will be responsible to meet with the decision makers, systems owners, and end users to define, develop and implement operational business reports within the HIM Department. • Support and develop ongoing operational complex reports, system maintenance and implementation documentation. • Design report logic related to the deliverables of various business processes and ensuring that key dependencies are met. • Develop relational databases to meet business and processes needs. Provide 24X7 on call support by rotation. • The HIM professional is the recognized subject matter expert pertaining to the challenges associated with maintaining legally sound health records in the hybrid and electronic information environments. • Appears in court as needed. • Areas of expertise are EPIC Coding and Abstracting, EPIC Privacy Surveillance, Transcription, EPIC Release of Information, Deficiency Tracking, Epic PHI Disclosures Module, EPIC Identity/EMPI, EPIC Chart Corrections.
