Essbase Systems Lead
The Essbase Systems Lead is responsible for leading the design, development and implementation of integrated Essbase solutions across the NAFTA region for the Chrysler Group. The selected candidate will work with Finance business leads in defining requirements to support the financial planning, forecasting and consolidation process. The person will interact with management at all levels and across many functional areas in finance including financial planning & analysis, accounting, capital expenditures, product finance and treasury. This person will lead and manage a service provider in the design, development and implementation of defined solutions. The selected candidate will work closely with the architecture and infrastructure group in defining required technologies to support the planning and forecasting process.
The candidate will also work with the Fiat automotive group identifying company synergies and developing convergence strategies for common processes and systems in the financial planning and forecasting areas. He or she will be accountable for leading a key convergence initiative in the area of capital expenditures and cash forecasting between Fiat and Chrysler. In this role the person will lead a team of business and IT in the implementation of a Fiat based solution at Chrysler Group. The selected candidate will interact with Fiat business and IT members in defining and implementing the convergence solution. The responsibilities include facilitation of requirements gathering sessions, project management, issue management and resolution and architecture and infrastructure setup. Person selected will need to draw upon their business analytics experience, functional finance knowledge and strong project management experience to successfully implement this important initiative at the Chrysler Group.
Basic Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree
• Minimum 8 years of IT experience
• Minimum 4 years of experience developing and implementing business analytics solutions or related technology
• Project management experience with a lead role
• Knowledge of various technologies (web and/or mainframe)
• Knowledge of financial planning, forecasting and consolidation processes
• Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project
Preferred Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science or Information Systems
• Master's degree
• Strategic thinker with ability to grasp business challenges
• Knowledge of industry standard BA tools, including Cognos, Business Objects, and other tools that could be used for enterprise solutions.
• Essbase experience preferred
• Experience with financial consolidation software tools such as Hyperion Enterprise or Hyperion Financial Management a plus
• Certification in Project Management (PMP)
• Experience as lead on large projects; capable of leading design and planning sessions including; leading the collection of business requirements, determining project scope, aligning business needs with corporate financial strategy
• Functional knowledge of accounting, capital expenditures and cash management desirable
• Analytical and detail oriented
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to handle multiple assignments and tasks independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to work in a team and collaborate effectively
• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build relationships at all levels
