Department Description This technical pre-sale software specialist position will be assigned to assist in selling and supporting Motorola Solution's Software based product solutions. This role you will:
.Co-own solutions consisting of software and traditional product sales to assigned account(s) or geographic sales area(s); The focus will be on software centric product .Create and delivers high impact sales presentations, demonstrating the application of solution selling techniques and pre-sale communication skills through effective delivery of solution presentations from Operations management through C-Level executives. .Work with regional Account Manager(s) or Sales Management to develop and executes sales strategy for assigned account(s) or geography .Use advanced knowledge of products, solutions and competitive differentiators with key customer contacts to leverage to Motorola Solution's advantage.
In addition, the position will work with the product development teams on new feature requests, integration of complimentary solution sets and provide troubleshooting support where/when needed.
Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations .Understands and explains how Motorola Solutions can help customers business results; assisting driving profitable revenue growth via value proposition vs. competition Uses full knowledge of customers business and market economics / trends to position effectively versus competition .Applies Solution Selling concepts to customer situations; excellent communication and interpersonal skills. .Adapts advanced sales strategies to unique customer needs; creates customer partnerships .Participates in negotiations on complex deals which may be primarily technical .Responsible for supporting sales area revenue attainment Works under general supervision. Makes decisions of moderate complexity that impact deliverables of projects; exercises judgment in approach, sometimes requiring and assessing tradeoffs
Candidate can be located anywhere in Pennsylvania. Estimated travel for this position is 80% Specific Knowledge/Skills . Education: A Bachelors degree from an accredited institution or a two year technical degree is required. .Job Experience: A Minimum of five years experience working in a pre-sales software engineering position specifically in Computer Manufacturing, Telecommunications, Enterprise Mobility or other relevant computer industry vertical. .Industry Certifications: Advanced software and software related certifications are strongly preferred; CSDP, CSTE, MCAD, MCAS, MCDBA, MCP, MCSD, MCTS, etc). .Operating Systems: Android, Windows Mobile, Win-CE is required ; Apple IOS, RIM, desired. .Application Development: Experience in client/server or Web applications utilizing HTML5, CSS, XML, JavaScript, C/C++ , Java or .NET is required; experience in any web scripting language like Ruby on Rails, PHP, , Python is required. .Database Knowledge: Experience with the use and application of database storage systems, such as SQL Lite is required. . Other Skills: Experience with developing and deploying mobility solutions with "Tablet" and handheld devices is highly desirable. .Good knowledge on mobile industry trends, OS options, device management trends, mobile application platforms (MEAP, MCAP), and application development trends is required. .Motorola Solutions Enterprise Mobility product portfolio experience and/or relevant experience with key competitor offerings in the areas of mobility solutions, technology standards and mobility performance requirements are highly desirable. .Excellent written and verbal communication, listening, negotiation and presentation skills are required .Solves routine problems of moderate complexity (e.g. verifying technical compatibility) at the customer level .Understands and resolves problems with support from technical resources In addition, the position will work with the product development teams on new feature requests, integration of complimentary solution sets and provide troubleshooting support where/when needed.
