Field Engineer II
Title: Field Engineer II Location: USA-Nebraska-Offutt AFB Other Locations: Responsible for maintaining L-3 Communications installedIntelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance(ISR) systems on the RC-135 aircraft. Works directly with the US Air Force customer on a daily basis and must have good communication skills. Must have strong electronic test and evaluation skills developed from technical training at military or civilian technical schools, followed by at least 2 years of hands-on experience. Shall be proficient in the use and application of electronic test equipment common to an RF and digital environment, including RF signal generators and spectrum analyzers, power meters, and other electronic warfare related equipment. Must be able to interpret electrical-electronic terminology, symbols and codes and work with engineering personnel and technicians from preliminary drawings and schematics. Must also be able to work from blueprints, schematics, pictorial presentations, and written and verbal instructions. Must be able to utilize built in test software to isolate malfunctions. Required Skills: Strong electronics background, understanding of Digital and RF principles, knowledge of networked computers, a minimum of 2 years experience working complex electronic systems plus a related associate's degree.
Physical Requirements: Work is on Flightline area and will be working on and around aircraft. Possible noise hazard area and Must be physically capable of working in an outdoor flight line environment and capable of lifting equipment weighing up to 70 pounds. Must be a self-starter and be able to work well in a team environment and be willing to work non-standard hours, including 2ndor 3rdshift. Must possess good oral and written communication skills. Should be proficient in the use of a computer with standard Microsoft Office tools. .
