Responsibilities: In support of our KMC Systems business unit, responsibilities include: 1. Assure the preparation and detailed analysis of data to be used in proposals for new business. Pertinent information may pertain to areas such as pricing, staffing, scheduling, planning, engineering changes, financial/program reports, comment sheets for document requirements, work authorizations, manpower and budget forecasts, and administrative procedures. 2. Work with program administration management, program management, accounting, and operations personnel to establish suitable control procedures for programs in conjunction with company accounting functions. 3. Work with program engineers, contracts administration personnel, and other management personnel in reviewing customer requests for proposals. 4. Assure the complete and timely preparation, presentation, and maintenance of records, reports, schedules, charts, etc. in order to control established schedules, determine costs, and identify variances from established budgets and schedules. 5. Monitor program performance and expenditures against established budgets and schedules and recommend corrective action to maintain favorable conditions. 6. Coordinate the gathering of data from various departments and functions to be utilized in the preparation and submittal of cost estimates for new business proposals. Review information from various functions and departments to assure conformity to required methods, procedures, and format. 7. Assist program management in defining work tasks and determining personnel requirements for proposed new business and to assist in the development of program schedules and budgets. 8. Maintain monthly program financial summaries for all active programs per finance policy and guidelines. Ressonsible for the oversight of complete and accurate records including the proper required signatory levels. Provide related support and recommendations to Management as necessary. 9. Provide work direction and guidance to lower classified administrative personnel as assigned on a project basis. 10. Perform related financial/program and administrative tasks. 11. Analyze program specific inventory, accounts payable, receivables and unliquidated program pay balances to report significant adverse trends and recommend corrective actions. 12. Working with appropriate Operations and Program Management personnel prepare sales and gross profit and cash forecasts for submittal to Management. 13. Identify financial/program system anomalies and coordinate solutions with Cost Accounting and Information Systems. Suggest and work with Information Systems to implement, new procedures or reports to aid in meeting financial/program objectives. 14. Prepare monthly time and material invoicing as well as manual invoicing as required. Maintain proper supporting documentation and backup.
Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Accounting and 4-6 years of related experience to be proficient in the above areas; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. MBA a plus. Strong skills in departmental PC based programs. Familiarity with PC based performance measurement tools. Oracle experience desirable.
