Ownership of the enterprise architecture development lifecycle for clients. -Coordinate the development of architectural frameworks and lead the population of these frameworks with coherent and consistent architectural views in the context of the client's business environment. The individual is responsible for establishing the scope of the enterprise in question, setting down architectural principles and vision and for ensuring the rigor and integrity of the enterprise architecture, together with associated deliverables -Evaluate the feasibility of the enterprise architecture and technologies related to a business change -Ensure technology consistency and integration with a client's business strategies -Identify risks associated with the enterprise architecture and various technologies -Assess a client's current enterprise architecture, processes and performance from a technical standpoint -Understand and present the tactical and strategic benefits of adopting a consistent architectural approach within the context of the client’s business to help the client justify his investments. -Assist in prioritizing and developing architectural improvements plans -Recommend alternative technical solutions, methodologies or strategies -Advise CXO's on trends and emerging enterprise data management, data warehousing and business intelligence (Enterprise Data Management/ Data Warehousing/ Business Intelligence) technologies and strategies. -Assist in prioritizing and preparing Data Architecture and recommend alternative data management solutions, methodologies or strategies -Collaborate with a team of architects within business, application/systems, data/information and technical architecture disciplines and must be able to explain clearly the benefits of an architectural approach.
Analyze and assess system/ enterprise architectures that employ combinations of custom applications or off-the-shelf products using established assessment frameworks/ methodologies, estimation techniques and tools Assess quality of application (code, design, functional and non-functional capabilities) and develop detailed analysis containing issues and recommendations comparing application findings vs. industry defined best practices Effectively create selling proposals, responses to RFP, developing statements of work and identification of cross sell opportunities Peer Review, Mentor, Coach emerging technology leads, junior architects within the organization Execute complex SI engagements, interfacing with client teams, offshore and onshore delivery teams Develop candidate architectures, detailed application designs, data models, interface architectures, volumetrics and performance modeling Conceptualize, contribute and own 1-2 solution offerings in the application architecture space Lead product selections and Proof-Of-Concepts in establishing architectures and technology capabilities.
Position/Program Requirements
Knowledge Preferred:
Extensive knowledge and understanding of how to lead, transform, and define systems, information, business and infrastructure architecture aligned to a client's business strategy. Extensive knowledge of the financial services business/industry value chain, domain systems, business processes, and technology.
Extensive knowledge of enterprise architecture and technologies related to business change, identifying associated risks, advising CXO's on trends, emerging technologies, and strategies, and ensuring technology is consistent with a client's business strategy
Extensive knowledge and exposure to common issues facing clients in the Financial Services Industry including banking, insurance and/or investment management.
Skills Preferred:
Extensive experience dealing with industry and business processes. Extensive experience with technology and tools evaluation, business solutions, business and systems architecture analysis, information and infrastructure architecture, compliance, risk management, and architecture governance.
Thorough experience identifying and addressing client needs: developing and sustaining deep client relationships using networking, negotiation and persuasion skills to identify and sell potential new service opportunities; preparing and presenting complex written and verbal materials; and defining resource requirements, project workflow, budgets, billing and collection.
Thorough experience as a team leader: leading teams to generate a vision, establish direction and motivate members, create an atmosphere of trust, leverage diverse views, coach staff, and encourage improvement and innovation.

The Application Architect role is responsible for problem analysis, technology solution definition and governance of complex software architectures involving application/ product implementations and integration. This includes leading assessments and rationalization of application portfolios design, and code. The role also contributes heavily in crafting strategic thought on C Level challenges that involve technology viz. Cost Take-Out, Speed-To-Market etc.
