The candidate that our Finance Dept is looking for is a functional accounting/finance/banking expert with experience using GEAC General Ledger Millenium system to support business and operational maintenance, such as G/L account setup and batch maintenance. This individual will support business realignment and financial history restatement in the existing production environment. Note that we are not looking for technical development lead or project manager for GEAC.

This position will be responsible for daily operational and functional change management related to the Client General Ledger Millenium system (GLM), in addition to special projects related to GLM as assigned by management including organizational structure changes and history restatement resulting from acquisitions, mergers and divestitures.

Professional Qualifications

Key Areas of Accountability:

• Business Delivery & Operational Effectiveness


• Act as subject matter expert to address system and operational issues related to GLM


• Support all inbound and outbound data transmission related to GLM


• Coordinate with cross-functional areas to resolve production issues and report status to management


• Maintain and update documentation for GLM and related support functions


• Participate in special projects assigned by management including company acquisition, merger, divestiture, process improvement etc related to general ledger operations


• Provide backup support for colleagues across the Client Finance Operations Team when necessary


• Client & Relationship Management


• Act as subject matter expert related to GLM production operations or development projects for Client Finance management


• Coordinate with IT technical teams for production and development support related to GLM based on business requirements approved by Finance


• Risk Management and Control


• Maintain accurate change control trails and documentation for internal control and audit support


• Enforce change management controls related to GLM


• Assess adequacy and effectiveness of system and process controls and provide recommendations for changes

Knowledge and Skills:

• Expert knowledge in General Ledger Millenium System (of Infor and previously Extensity/ GEAC/ McCormick & Dodge/ D&B). Client GLM is currently on version 3.5


• Basic knowledge of financial and management accounting and understanding of financial statements and financial reporting .


• Understanding of financial information systems for the U.S. banking industry


• Problem Solving (Advanced) Ability to research, analyze, define, evaluate, recommend and justify


• Quality Delivery (Advanced) Ability to deliver accurate, dependable and timely results for production operations and projects


• Project Management (Working) Ability to work independently and/or cross-functional teams to plan, track, organize and prioritize assigned tasks


• Lead projects related to GLM as assigned by management
