Functional Oracle Associate Consultant with Finance, Supply Chain/Logistics and Business Degrees

Job Number:25415816
Company Name:CSC
Job Location:HOUSTON, TX US
Job Category:Information Technology

Functional Oracle Associate Consultant with Finance, Supply Chain/Logistics and Business Degrees
Title: Functional Oracle Associate Consultant with Finance, Supply Chain/Logistics and Business Degrees
Location: TX: TEXAS-HOUSTON
Principal Duties and Essential Job Functions:
Looking for a company to help create your path to the future? CSC is that company! The Oracle Consulting Practice of CSC is actively recruiting entry-level consultants for full time employment in the following cities: Chicago, Houston, and Boston. We want to invest in fresh talent and in return offer exciting career opportunities. We have created a training program which will introduce our new consultants to the world and lifestyle of consulting! We are recruiting intelligent, outgoing, confident and skilled individuals who have recently earned a Bachelors and/or Masters Degree in Corporate Finance, Supply Chain Management, Engineering and/or Computer Science/MIS. We offer both functional and technical consulting paths. In this role, you have the responsibility for supporting the delivery of technical and business solutions within a project setting. You will develop foundation-level skill sets in business analysis, computer programming, application testing, and project documentation. From Consulting Associate, you may advance to Business or Technical Analyst. You continue to gain experience in program development and business processes while actively participating in delivery of technical and business solutions. In addition, you will assume responsibility for business process design and software package configuration as you continue to progress.

Expectation for Travel:
For the Consulting Division of CSC, all roles desire a commitment to 100% travel. This doesn't mean that consultants will always be traveling for assignments, but new consultants joining the CSC team need to understand that they could be assigned to a travel role. The staffing process focuses on assigning people to local roles as a first priority; however, if consultants are available and have the right skills for an assignment for another CSC office across the United States, they may be staffed into that travel assignment. When this happens, they travel to the project location at the start of the week and return at the end of the work week and are home on the weekends.

Career Advancement:
Your career belongs to you. At CSC, we recognize that you are in control of identifying and achieving your career goals. CSC enables you to take the lead through our formal development planning process. We will help you create a plan for enhancing your skills and experience by providing information, tools, tuition reimbursement and people that will support your career planning efforts. We have identified over 60 standard roles that exist across CSC Consulting, as well as the corresponding skills needed to succeed in those roles. You can use this information to identify your next job or an entire career path anywhere in the world. A career at CSC can be as targeted or eclectic as you are.

Additional Oracle Training:
Here at CSC you will learn the basics of consulting starting with our LAUNCH training program. LAUNCH (Leveraging, Accelerating, Understanding, Navigating, Collaborating, Honing) is a challenging, 10-day training session held in Chicago, designed to teach you the consulting and personal skills you need to be successful within our organization. Consulting skills emphasize problem solving, team building, and decision making, while personal skills emphasize motivation, time management, attitude, maturity, judgment, productivity, image, leadership, and communication. LAUNCH is also a great opportunity for you to develop many friendships across CSC and the country. Following LAUNCH, you will begin an 8-week training program to build your Oracle ERP application and technology skills, as well as the methodology and tools CSC uses to consistently meet the needs of our customers. This training program includes 2 to 4 weeks of instructor-led training at Oracle University, held in major cities across the nation. The remaining training weeks include hands-on exercises to reinforce your skills, reviews and discussions of real project deliverables, and self-assessments to allow you to measure your progress. The last 2 weeks of the training program include an assignment to a client project where you will gain on-the-job experience to round out your skills. An experienced CSC mentor is assigned to you for the duration of your training program, available to guide you in building both your consulting and ERP skills. At the end of the program, you will be prepared to enter the world of CSC consulting with confidence.
