Overview:
Macy's Logistics (Macy's Inc.) operates state-of-the-art direct to consumer facilities in Portland, TN and Goodyear AZ. D2C Systems will partner with the local facility operations management, engineering department, and the Macy's Systems and Technology teams with all facets of technology support including trouble resolution and project work, with a strong emphasis on the Fall/Holiday peak-shipping season.
Key Accountabilities:
Primary on-site systems owner within Macy's Logistics for going forward warehouse management systems (WMS) and warehouse controls systems (WCS) for Macys D2C Network
Assume front line support to investigate and troubleshoot WMS/WCS issues at DC
Promote Macy's Logistics (ML) objectives for the defined set of D2C processes and work with various business partners and MST (Macy's Systems Group) to define and implement solutions that meet those objectives.
Partner with MST and Material Handling vendors to ensure that all business needs are met through systems support/changes based on business partner requirements
Partner with Maintenance/Facility Engineering on system integration performance and conformance to include hardware, firmware, device/control networking and PLC
Participate in configuration, testing/validation and implementation of WMS /WCS releases at Macy's
Assist in training business partners on implemented systems and process changes
Coordinate team meetings to monitor and ensure progress on open issues or projects
Communicate project progress, raising areas of concern to appropriate levels within Macy's Logistics
Create and distribute ad hoc queries and reports as required for Operations and senior leadership
Research, troubleshoot and determine root cause of system failures impacting operations
Determine, maintain and enforce compliance standards related to security, system access, OS upgrades, application layer upgrades, and hardware/infrastructure requirements
Manage schedules and expectations within Macy's business units related to all D2C WMS changes or enhancements and provide regular status
Requirements:
3 years' experience in direct to consumer (D2C) or retail distribution environments
Experience supporting warehouse systems and business processes.
Experience with Manhattan Associates Warehouse Management Open Systems application preferred.
SQL/Access Database query experience
Crystal Reports experience
Experience with material handling and warehousing control systems
Experience with conveyor and tilt tray sortation systems with barcode scanning applications.
Skills:
Strong project management skills; and written/verbal communication skills
Strong analytical skills and PC skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
Six Sigma and Industrial Engineering experience a plus.
Bachelor's degree preferred
Limited travel may be required (up to 25%)
