Title: GRC-IT SAP ABAP Programmer/Developer Location: United States-Texas - Houston The Global Regulatory Compliance IT (GRC IT) organization delivers end-to-end IT solutions to meet worldwide compliance regulations, including financial, trade, and environmental. As a member of this global IT team, you will work in a highly dynamic, fast changing and fluid work environment. You will contribute technical and business knowledge expertise to design, develop and implement integrated IT/business solutions. You will work effectively across organizations to drive appropriate business/IT solutions; view alternatives from an end-to-end enterprise perspective and understand the broader implications of technical and business related choices. You will work in a self-directed environment where strong teamwork, individual initiatives and accountability are highly valued.
Responsibilities · Provide thought leadership, best practices, and experience in how technology can and should be deployed to support major functions within the GRC Process · Engage with the business partners to understand functional requirements to design best possible global technical solutions · Ensure that the application technical design& development aligns with corporate standards, IT application and technology roadmap and end-state vision · Flexibility and ability to work in a global and multi cultural environment. Team members are in multiple geographies, resulting in time constraints due to time zones · Follow project management methodologies and ensure the timely delivery of project deliverables · Understand, influence and provide feedback on technical solutions designed by our IT partners · Guide and lead application technical designs & development towards SAP standard functionality while fulfilling HP's business requirements and deliver more value · Implement configuration changes required to enable business solutions · Participate in architecture compliance reviews to ensure the technical design meets the overall program/project and design for supportability requirements · Thorough knowledge of understanding and execution of all processes within SAP FI/CO & BW functional modules · Perform accurate analysis and effective diagnosis of business operational issues and manage day-today business partner relationships · Provide deep support for our support teams for complex issues with master data supporting GRC (supply chain and manufacturing) processes. Debug and find workarounds to allow our business partners to quickly recover · Work in a self-directed environment where strong teamwork, individual initiative and accountability are highly valued · Able to lead small development teams
Education and Experience Required: Typically a technical Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 10 years experience or a Master's degree with a minimum of 6 years of experience. A minimum of 5 years of experience related to this position, and with SAP, is required.
Knowledge and Skills Required: · Must have strong skills across several areas of SAP ABAP Development tools and practices as well · Must have knowledge and experience in the full software development life cycle (SDLC), software development methodologies and standards · Development/configuration experience with SAP ERP modules FI/CO BW, ABAP (Interfaces, User Exits and ALE IDOC) preferred · Financial integration experience, including master data and linkages with upstream Business Processes · Excel in analytical and problem solving skills · Knowledge of Finance and General Ledger business concepts · Professional verbal and written communication skills in English as well as strong negotiation skills · Possess creative ability, consulting skills, resource estimating skills, leadership qualities, self-confidence and great teamwork
