Perficient’s national Healthcare business unit is seeking a Healthcare Industry Subject Matter Expert (SME) with deep expertise in the Payor market to help increase our market share in Healthcare – one of the largest, most dynamic industries in the US. Already the largest source of industry revenue within Perficient today, Healthcare represents an even bigger target market for us. This position will be a key part of our growing Healthcare practice leadership team and support both sales and solution delivery. Industry subject matter experts play a key role interacting with our client’s executive, operations and IT leadership to fully understand their business and technical needs, issues, and risks. They are chiefly responsible for working with our healthcare clients on key initiatives, industry trends and key critical success factors in an evolving environment. They apply unique client-based solutions that meet customer needs while reducing delivery and commercial risk for Perficient while demonstrating a real business value add for our client’s business. This person can be located anywhere there is a significant Payor healthcare industry presence, but proximity to one of Perficient’s existing offices is preferred. The ideal candidate will possess the following attributes: * A successful track record of conceptualizing, defining, and delivering functional enterprise level solutions to Healthcare companies across a broad spectrum of the Payor market segment. * A history of facilitating change and value add to companies through industry leadership and demonstrating forethought and strategy in the healthcare industry. * Ability to transform complex, unstructured problems into meaningful solutions for our clients. * A thorough understanding of the Professional Services industry, with a concentration in the Payor Healthcare market segment. * Comfortable establishing and growing relationships with client CxOs and their direct reports. * A self starter who requires little management on day-to-day activities. * Possesses a high degree of integrity at all times and in all interactions. Communicates openly and honestly with clients and the Perficient team. * Consistently promotes and contributes to an effective team environment within the business unit. * An entrepreneurial nature, flexibility, and an ultimate team player. Requirements: * 8+ years demonstrable experience designing and implementing complex Healthcare Payor related solutions. * Graduate level degree or equivalent work experience (e.g., MHA, Clinical Informatics, Health Information Management, MBA, MS in Health Management or information systems/computer science). * Experience with a broad range of healthcare solutions, key challenges, trends, legislation and technologies. * Experience implementing innovative solutions, such as: Healthcare Compliance – experience in aligning business and IT with healthcare compliance regulations (JCAHO, NCQA, HIPAA, etc.) * Healthcare Standards – detailed working knowledge and experience with HIPAA (TCS, Privacy & Security), X12, HL7, NCPDP, CCOW, etc. * IT management - experience in aligning IT and business strategy, developing IT organization structures & governance processes, IT investment management, IT portfolio management, etc * Procurement of IT services - experience in developing sourcing strategy, vendor selection, assisting clients in constructing and negotiating large outsourcing deals, reviewing existing outsourcing relationships and/or assisting the client in improving overall deal management/governance * Transparency in Healthcare with Quality Measures, Patient Safety & Satisfaction, etc. * Common repository strategies including enterprise data warehouses, electronic health records, etc. * Launch of new consumer-driven business models * e-business-driven platforms * Implementing healthcare-specific customer relationship management tools * Excellent communications skills (written & verbal), including the ability to effectively represent Perficient at industry technical events. * A willingness and desire to travel heavily and as necessary to support a growing nationwide practice. * Ability to collaborate effectively with local business unit sales and marketing teams on joint proposals and sales efforts. * Ability to lead technical and functional assessments in Healthcare Payor organizations with little supervision. * Excellent problem solving and analytical skills. A demonstrated advanced conceptual thinker. Can easily move between conceptual thought and concrete implementation. * Hands-on experience with COTS packages, including vendor package selection, evaluation, implementation, and integration.
