Job Description: The client's New Campus East (NCE) Active IT Program was established to provide the infrastructure services required to build out and maintain the NCE facilities.. Roles & Responsibilities: Responsible for managing and maintaining high availability and uptime for a Federal agency's systems and services. The right candidate will manage the Operations Support team and manage end-to-end support for the combined production environments on a 24x7 basis. Provide command and control of enterprise outages, identify and notify the incident coordinator, perform troubleshooting and support incidents as required (e.g., critical system outages, critical network outages, critical application outages, security events, and emergency patch management). Manages teams performing floor support for desktop support, telecommunication, briefing and display, and VTC services. The role requires guiding a technical staff supporting VMware thin clients, thick clients (XP and Windows 7), VOIP phones, AV briefing equipment, various monitor display units, and VTC systems. S/He will focus on building a high-performing team driven to consistency, operations excellence and superior customer service Required Skills: 2 years of relevant experience in managing desktop support operations or other comparable role in a large environment. ~ Exp supporting customers' needs in large, medium and small-scale production environments and use all available resources. ~ Knowledge of ITIL NOC is preferred. ~ Working knowledge of Microsoft OS products like XP, VISTA, and Windows 7 & job scheduling tools. ~ Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, Local Area Networking Printer, Fax, and Scanner setup and troubleshooting, Briefing (AV) and Display support, VOIP phone support, VTC support, and Enterprise Monitoring systems (such as HP OpenView, SCCM, and BMC), is preferred. ~ Working Knowledge of incident management and Remedy is preferred. ~ Demonstrated Strong analytical and problem solving skills in making the appropriate technical decisions. ~ Strong communication skills with a focus on teamwork and ability to foster / manage relationships across multiple departments, partners, and customers ~ Ability to work in a team environment and manage shift work ~ Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization and with outside business units ~ Excellent organizational and follow-up skills with strong attention to detail ~ Outstanding customer service skills ~ Must be motivated, adaptable, flexible, and able to produce quality results in an evolving, fast paced environment ~ BS in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience. ~ 5+ years of applicable experience TS/SCI (Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Accordingly, U.S. Citizenship is required.)
