Help Desk Specialist<br/>Location: Hanover, NH<br/>Employment duration: Full time<br/># of openings: 1<br/>Shift: 1st Shift<br/>Pay range:<br/><br/>Description<br/><br/>Overview:<br/><br/>Provides timely and effective technical support and guidance around computing services to Hypertherm Associate’s globally.<br/><br/>Responsibilities:<br/><br/>* Maintains, repairs and updates IT equipment (e.g. PCs, printers, barcode readers) and software (e.g. MS office, java, CRM) to support critical business operations.<br/>* Provides timely and effective support and education to Hypertherm associates to enhance productivity.<br/>* Assists in the development of best-in-class software and hardware standards that promote lean and efficient help desk operating practices (e.g. tools, metrics surveys etc.), which support Hypertherm business needs and continuous improvement.<br/>* Provides day-to-day support to systems administration team on corporate level applications (e.g. virus, spam) that are critical in sustaining business continuity.<br/>* Supports tasks and projects pertaining to new or existing applications supported by Help Desk that will provide adequate return on investment and supports the team’s commitment to continuous improvement.<br/><br/>Required Qualifications-<br/><br/>Education:<br/><br/>* A.S. Degree in Computer Science<br/>* 2+ years experience or 3+ years experience in related field<br/><br/>Knowledge and Skills:<br/><br/>* Working Knowledge of Windows, Macintosh, Linux and Sun Operating Systems<br/>* Working knowledge of TCP/IP and basic networking fundamentals<br/>* Basic troubleshooting principles<br/>* Customer service (e.g. strong phone, face-to-face and written communication skills, professional demeanor)<br/>* Strong time management skills (e.g. ability to organize and prioritize daily workload)<br/><br/>Preferred Qualifications-<br/><br/>Education:<br/><br/>* B.S.
