Help Desk Specialist / Technician
Desktop Support TechnicianLevel II/III troubleshooting of desktop hardware and software, particularly: Microsoft Office 2003/2007, Windows XP/Windows 7, Nortel IP phones, printers. Experience providing desktop support for at least 50 users in a corporate, networked environment both onsite and remote, including executive level. Experience using a Help Desk ticketing system and handling tickets escalated from the Help Desk and other duties as assigned by the Information Technology Manager. Some physical labor is Responsibilities:Resolve desktop related technology issues for all users in the company based on tickets escalated from the Help Desk and when users make direct contact. Enter all updates into the Help Desk system. Enter all user assets into the asset database and keep the database updated whenever there are changes. Configure desktop technology for new hires and provide technology orientation to new hires. Work in conjunction with the server/networking team members as necessary. Ensure any changes made to the desktops are within company cation Required:Requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and experience in Information Technology support services. An equivalent combination of education and related experience may also serve to meet these minimum erience Required:A minimum of three year's experience supporting user and computer accounts and resources in a network environment, with at least one year in an Active Directory environment is required. Experience with desktop imaging software and migrations, along with experience training end users, is required. Excellent communication and problem solving skills are necessary, along with demonstrated self-motivation and a willingness to take initiative and see projects through to completion. Must be comfortable working as a team member as well as independently when necessary. Ability to move up to 40 pounds. Demonstrated experience working effectively in a diverse irable Qualifications:Windows and Mac OS-X certifications.
