Help Desk Specialist / Technician
The Desktop Support Specialist will perform Help Desk duties for the specified office, as well as assist with the support of remote offices as needed. The primary responsibility of this position is to provide support to end-users on a variety of IT issues, in an effective and timely manner. The Desktop Support Specialist will be the first point of contact for IT support in his/her office. The successful candidate must be able to communicate and interact with both technical and non-technical users. In communicating with other IT staff, the Desktop Support Specialist will need to convey the issues and be able to work with peers and management to ensure timely ential Functions: - Provide support to end-users in an effective and timely manner.- Respond to IT help desk calls, emails and user requests for technical support in areas that include; desktop and laptop problems, printer maintenance, as well as IT equipment setup.- Handle matters directly or, depending upon the expertise needed, assign the issue to the appropriate IT staff member for resolution, which includes communicating the issue and its business priority.- Responsible for tracking problems from the beginning through to resolution.- Ability to perform root cause analysis and determine solutions to the issue.- Provide on-call support for weekends in rotation- Perform meeting set-ups, including video conferences with other offices and clients.- Any and all other projects and duties as assigned Category: Help Desk and Customer Support
