Helpdesk Support Representative
Our telecommunications client is seeking applicants to fill a number of level 1 and 2 Helpdesk positions.
Job Responsibilities:
- Installation and configuration of windows operating systems
- Maintaining images of operating systems
- Troubleshoot computer and basic networking issues
- Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues
- Create new users and assign permissions in Active Directory
- Research questions using available information resources
- Move and setup computer workstations and all related equipment for in house clients and new hires
- Heavy lifting (50-75 lbs.)
- Keeping up to date hardware inventory
- Documentation of process and projects
Requirements:
Job Qualifications:
- Knowledge and understanding of operating systems such as Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7 (Windows Server 2003 or 2008, OSX 10.4 or higher, and Linux knowledge is valued)
- Strong ability to troubleshoot computer and software issues
- Good at face to face customer service in a helpdesk environment
- Experience using Microsoft Office products
- Basic understanding of Active Directory
- Basic understanding of network switching, IP addressing
- Ability to locate and troubleshoot error codes
- Familiar with troubleshooting issues with drivers
- Familiarity with advanced bios settings
- Experience using OS imaging software or services like Ghost or WDS
- Understanding the differences between the different HDD raid types
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Valued Skills
- Some experience with AV systems (projectors, HD televisions, audio receivers etc...)
- Take ownership of new projects
- Self-starter and ability to work without supervision
