The group is looking for an exceptional high performance DSP programmer to complement the team, and make a difference. The successful candidate will have excellent understanding and knowledge of Fast Fourier Transforms, specifically with a track record of delivering high performance versions on ARM processors using NEON. Additional knowledge of Intel SSE is also very helpful. Being able to use processor micro-architecture to write and deliver fast signal processing routines is an essential attribute. Low level performance programming experience is a must for this position. Track record of writing the fastest possible code using ARM NEON or Intel SSE or PowrePC AltiVec on specified deadlines is required. Working knowledge of the IEEE-754-2008 Numerics standards would be very beneficial. Responsibilities . Design and implement optimized pieces of iPhone OS's Digital Processing subsystem. . Performance analysis and optimization using established methods. . Working with cross functional teams in audio related components. Skills, Education and Experience Required . Detailed knowledge of vector Instruction Set Architectures (ISA) of ARM. . Strong code optimization background making direct use of a processor's ISA. . PhD or MS in Computer science or equivalent experience. . Highly professional, with the ability of on time delivery of solid work on tight schedules. . Demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities. . Self motivated, independent and pro-active.
