We are now expanding our global team in the Business Intelligence area. We are searching a Cognos Expert which will be located in Göteborg, Sweden The Business Intelligence team has a good and close working relationship with both clients and partners. The Business Intelligence area is a prioritised function for our clients with exciting opportunities. Our objective is to deliver solutions that enable our clients to have access to the right information in the right time to make the right business decisions. Our Business Intelligence platforms are Cognos, Informatica and Microsoft. As Database Management Systems we are working with SQL Server, iSeries DB2 and Oracle. The team consists of on-shore as well as off-shore resources, from US, Argentina and Sweden. The Business Intelligence area is a prioritized function for our clients with exciting opportunities.
The Cognos Subject Matter Expert that will be responsible for the technical lead of the Cognos Platform. The role includes Establishes and maintains relationships with management team and client business leads.. Communicates strategic platform decisions and plans and works to achieve alignment with relevant areas of the business, function, or geography. Actively participates in review of Data Warehouse projects to ensure that business, function, and geography "customers" are included appropriately and ensures that they receive sufficient and timely communications. This role is a combination of an infrastructure specialist and an expert developer. We work in an international environment and client contacts will be part of the daily work. As an individual you are a communicative self-starter and a team player focused on delivering solutions to our Clients.
· Typically a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 10 years of related experience or a Master's degree and a minimum of 8 years experience. · Extensive experience in the area of Business Intelligence · Preferred experience from Manufacturing Industry for Global clients. · Technical expertise within Cognos Platform (Cognos 7 and Cognos 8) · Good working knowledge of ETL processes · In-depth database experience (Microsoft SQL Server, DB2, ) · In-depth experience in a consulting role · Profound experience in designing Business Intelligence Solutions · Exceptional written and verbal skills. · Strong relationship management skills. · Excellent project management and process development skills. · Strong Client Focus · Demonstrate enthusiasm and a positive attitude in the work environment
