The HR Time and Attendance Analyst is responsible for handling all aspects of the Time and Attendance process. Responsibilities will include understanding and analyzing business requirements for time and attendance, including administering and troubleshooting calculation errors, responding to customer inquiries, reconciling of payroll and time, and ensuring adherence to defined payroll policies and applicable laws. Responsible for ensuring ICS controls are followed and the employee population for which they are responsible receives applicable hours. Must assist with annual process. They are additionally responsible for data quality reports.

This position must have knowledge of the time and attendance process to ensure accurate, compliant, and complete payroll processing. The position is also required to analyze, document, and implement process improvements. Must understand and research unique time and attendance situations and provide resolutions.

Responsibilities

. Performing daily support and troubleshooting of SAP HR Time Management with the ability to interpret and understand complex calculations including understanding automated calculations of pay policies and union agreements for approximately thirty locations.
. Demonstrate technical expertise and knowledge to partner with other HR functions and site locations to ensure accurate calculations for Time Management in compliance with documented policies. Ability to interpret, to diagnose, to resolve and to communicate retroactive calculations and overpayments occurring within SAP.
. Troubleshooting employee calculation errors and determine immediate answer for resolution from time evaluation within designated timelines for payroll processing
. Develop technical system expertise to perform analytical analysis of current system setup to ensure system integrity
. Analyze functional specifications for standard and non-standard requirements of Time Management. Understand test plans and scripts. Work closely with IT to communicate calculation issues and understanding solutions.
. Reconciliation of Payroll and Time Management to ensure accurate payroll reporting
. Assist/train Managers on internal automated time system in accordance with local pay policy and/or union agreement
. Entry and validation of time data to ensure proper calculations/payouts
. Ensure compliance with all federal and state laws governing wage and hour in computing overtime and hours worked
. Understand and analyze vacation eligibility and accruals for multiple policies, including processing corrections and payouts as required
. Develop and maintain SOP's (Standard Operating Procedures) for Time Management function
. Researches tickets (Employee/Manager/HR Inquiries) and communicate resolutions to customers within established guidelines
. Process, at times develop, reports for both internal and external use to validate system accuracy and required reporting
. Understand and participate in the ongoing testing of Time Management controls
. Support the organizational change management process
. Special projects, as assigned

. Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Human Resources or Information Technology with 2+ years' experience or 7+ equivalent years of work experience
. 2+ years' experience working in SAP Time Management or automated time clock system
. Ability to handle challenging situations with diplomacy and tact and perform well under pressure
. Ability to provide on-call support during off hours
. Self-starter with strong customer focus
. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
. Willingness to learn and ability to self-teach in areas if necessary
. Forward thinker with a broad focus
. Ability to work effectively in a team environment, sometimes virtually with remote locations
. Excellent oral and written communication skills
. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
