He/she will provide the leadership and vision to strengthen HR technology and further leverage the function by applying best practices and efficient processes. This candidate will excel at working in a collaborative environment and be able to mentor and coach other members of the team. This position is a “player / coach” role with both hands-on management of projects, as well as management of staff that are leading ponsibilities include: * Provide planning, budgeting and forecasting of current and future HRIS needs. Maintain awareness of HRIS vendor plans and their potential impact on HRIS functionality. * Manage and successfully implement projects associated with new functionality and/or enhancements to existing functionality; including requirements analysis and documentation, design/build oversight, testing and deployment; post implementation support and transition to ongoing operations. * Partner with IT resources to deliver highest levels of functionality for HR solutions. * Be proactive in identifying and driving opportunities for continuous improvement and operational excellence based upon metrics and customer feedback for business processes and systems. * Ensure data integrity through management of data and effective data processing guidelines. Develop, document and implement new and revised processes to improve data integrity and promote the consistent use of HR data. * Promote improved reporting and analytics for HR. Establish vision, opportunities and process to further standardize and warehouse HR data for improved information gathering and reporting/analytics. * Develop, lead and maintain HRIS project governance process. Facilitate evaluation of new enhancement and project requests against strategic priorities with key HR stakeholders and IT. * Work closely with HR managers, IT, various functional groups and business units in understanding and prioritizing HR Systems enhancements to meet changing business needs. * Balance a portfolio of projects that enhance HR service delivery and data quality across HR functional areas and geographies. * Build strong relationships and partnerships with stakeholder groups, including IT, Payroll/Finance, Stock, Compensation, Benefit, Staffing, Learning & OD, and HR business partners globally. * Consult with key stakeholders to determine areas for optimization, deconstruct issues and develop solution approach. * Identify and recommend technical solutions to address opportunities for improving existing process to further streamline and optimize operational effectiveness within HR. * Manage, mentor, and develop a team of project managers and business analysts to enable individuals to reach their highest potential within the enterprise. Provide direction, knowledge and support to team members as needed. * Provide overall prioritization of work assignments and management of functional team resources and their activities. Effectively and efficiently manage department priorities, workload, and resources in support of both ad hoc requests and strategic initiatives. * Contribute to the strategic direction of the function. Participate in the development and execution of HRIS strategy. Provide content and thought leadership to identify technology led innovation opportunities within HR.
Job Requirements
* Minimum 10+ years experience preferably in a fast-paced high-tech or retail environment, with at least 5 in a HR management function. * BA/BS required; MBA or Master Degree preferred. * 8-10 years HR experience with in-depth knowledge of HRIS applications and HR business processes. * 7+ years of consulting or project management; Big 4 management consulting experience a plus. * Demonstrated ability to manage and provide leadership on large and complex enterprise projects. * Ability to prioritize work, excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and initiative to improve processes. * Proven negotiations skills and able to establish common win-win outcome. * Track record of successful team building; 4-5 years people management experience. * Excellent analytical, problem solving skills, and decision making skills. * Ability to analyze complex issues and advise internal business partners appropriately. * Experience with SAP Org Management and Personnel Administration strongly preferred, as well as knowledge of industry trends and best practices. Experience in management of SAP self service MSS/ESS tools preferred. * Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio, Access. * Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain solid partnerships with all levels of leadership. * Excellent facilitation, interpersonal and customer service skills. * Outstanding oral and written communications skills. * Ability to communicate technical/analytical information to non-technical customers and partners. * Must be a true team player that works well in collaborative environment and excels in partnering across organizations. * Ability to operate effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced, and results-oriented environment, and be flexible and adaptable to change.
